Even Desperados & Outlaws Live By A Set Of Rules

All riders must be courteous and display a good attitude. All riders must pay the event entry fee, and late fee if applicable. All riders must sign the official event waiver without any modification before beginning the event. All participants must wear/carry official event ID provided at check-in. Riders without ID will not be entitled to support out on the course. Following local custom, Bandit riders will be treated harshly (and banned from future Color Country events). All riders must carry proper personal identification and emergency contact phone numbers at all times while cycling. Participants must wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet at all times during the event. Riders must obey all traffic laws and obey the Utah Motor Vehicle Code. Riders who break laws and/or ride unsafely will be disqualified from the event (you will be on your own pard!). All riders must follow the basic rules for safe cycling: Ride to the right, ride single file when possible, stop at all stop signs red lights, protect and warn one another about road hazards and traffic, do not overlap wheels, practice safe paceline and group etiquette. All riders must carry and use legal bicycle lights and reflectors when cycling at night (front and back visible from 500 feet). All Desperado riders must begin in the timeframe established as the starting window for their event. All century riders will begin at the 7:00 am mass start time (mountain standard time). Double century riders may start anytime from 5:30 am until 6:30 am mass start. Riders withdrawing from the event must let the event staff know of the time and place of their withdrawal. Riders who "go astray / missing" can create a real problem for the Desperado Posse, please be courteous and let us know if you drop out. Desperado's ride rain or shine, this event will go on whatever the weather.
